Charlotte Rushton

Charlotte Rushton

Charlotte Rushton is President of the Tax Professionals customer market. In this capacity, she oversees the Thomson Reuters full proposition for accounting firms and tax professionals in governments, while also focusing on delivering more intuitive tax offerings, automating tax workflows and expanding in the small-to-medium business market.

Prior to her current role, Rushton was Managing Director for the law firm segment for the Thomson Reuters Legal business unit, delivering winning product propositions to meet legal customers’ varied and rapidly evolving needs. Rushton also led the Tax & Accounting business operations that serve corporations and accounting firms across Asia Pacific and Europe. In 2010, she established the Tax & Accounting business's regional office in Singapore, where she led the team that launched ONESOURCE corporate tax solutions in China, Korea and Taiwan, and ONESOURCE global solutions in Asia Pacific.

In addition, Rushton served as the Executive Sponsor for Innovation for the Legal business and has designed and delivered an innovative female leadership program for Legal clients.

Before joining Thomson Reuters, Rushton was a partner and leader of the business strategy capability for Computer Sciences Corporation, based in New York. She holds a Master’s degree in engineering from the University of Cambridge in the United Kingdom.

Rasmus Ankersen

Rasmus Ankersen

Rasmus Ankersen is a bestselling author, entrepreneur, speaker on performance development and a trusted advisor to businesses and athletes around the world.

In 2012 Rasmus published The Gold Mine Effect, in which he explores how some countries and cities develop a disproportionate amount of top talent.

In 2016 Rasmus published Hunger in Paradise: a book about how successful organisations can remain successful by eliminating complacency.

Rasmus is also the chairman of FC Midtjylland, his childhood football club in Denmark, and a director of the English club Brentford FC. Both are known as some of the world’s most innovative football clubs, especially recognised for their use of big data to drive decision-making.

Over the past few years, Rasmus has been hired to share his research on high performance cultures by global brands like LEGO, Google, Boston Consulting Group, IKEA, Facebook, Hitachi, Roche, Ernst & Young and many more.

Richard has a particular focus on helping firms develop their cloud services and is the author of "How to creates your firm's cloud proposition" published in association with ICAS.

David Smith

David Smith

David Smith is Director of Assurance and Accounting Content at Mercia incorporating SWAT. Since joining Mercia from Grant Thornton in 2010, David has been editor of the Mercia Audit and Audit Exemption Manuals, authored our Assurance and Academies Specialist Assignment Manuals and developed our New UK GAAP accounts and disclosure checklists. Nowadays, David spends much of his time lecturing on Mercia’s face-to-face, in-house and online CPD courses as well as providing technical consultancy and quality review services.

In July 2018, David became a director of Mercia incorporating SWAT, responsible for ensuring that Mercia and SWAT assurance and accountancy content provides innovative, relevant, accurate and practical solutions to accountants in practice.

David plays an active role with various committees and working groups at ICAEW and ESFA and is a member of the ICAEW’s Technical and Practical Auditing Committee.

During his career in journalism Tom has edited a variety of digital and print publications, has written for the BBC, the Guardian and the Telegraph, and wrote two travel books whilst living in China.

Jessica is a long-standing advocate and expert in cloud software; managing Pillow May using the latest technology-led processes and increased automation to enable remote working, and empower her staff. Jessica has been pioneering in promoting the efficiency and recruitment benefits of family friendly work patterns.

Jessica is a regular contributor to ICAEW IT faculty magazine (Chartech); highly-regarded industry speaker, and cloud software innovator & development consultant.

Ollie Warwick

Ollie heads the IT and Digital function of a Surrey based Chartered Accountancy, Roffe Swayne and has worked in the professional services industry for 15 years. His role as Head of IT is to take a high level strategic view of IT systems and how they interact with clients digitally. Translating the digital jargon into meaningful information to guide the rest of the senior management along with utilising the latest and appropriate technologies. Roffe Swayne have been using Digita products for nearly three years with a user base of around 100 employees.

Gary Jacobs

Gary has been in practice since 1995, starting from a converted shed at the bottom of his garden. An early adopter of Digita’s software he developed his niche products Eazitax and Drivertax. Today Gary runs The Luvtax Group, a product group of tax, accountancy and professional advice services with a specific trade knowledge, including the ground transport, security, entertainment and construction industries. His general practice also signed up for HMRC Making Tax Digital Pilot for VAT and Income Tax. In conjunction with Thomson Reuters his was one of the first practices in the country to submit through the new MTD portal and they continue to be active in both pilots.
