Boost client collaboration during tax season

Accountancy Practices December 10, 2019

We are back again with part two of our podcast series on client collaboration. In this podcast, AccountingWEB’s editor Tom Herbert is joined by Lucy Cohen, co-founder of Mazuma and our very own Mark Purdue, tax product manager at Thomson Reuters. Together they examine how accountants can work more efficiently with their clients during tax season.

The run-up to the 31 January has traditionally been the most dreaded time of the year for practitioners.

The panel analysed how the self-assessment season has changed in recent years, with new tools now available boosting a firm’s efficiency and opening up opportunities for firms to progress.

Communicating with clients regularly during the tax season is key, using online portals to send documents and information easily, improving productivity and allowing practitioners to reduce their fees.
